Good news if you are excited by the prospect of proliferating the PONYLOAF consciousness across the nation of Australia. Triple J have played tracks from our new album O COMPLEX a number of times since its launch in August, but now PONYLOAF have been invited to be profiled as a Triple J Next Crop 2004 artist during AusMusic Month in November.
I understand this to mean that we get our own special day on JJJ where the band and the music get le metaphorical flogging on air as well as extra play during the month and an online profile on the J's web site and interviews and la la la.
Our special day is SATURDAY NOV 13 and I only hope thats confirmed and im allowed to announce it. Oh well if not who cares. this is only a stupid blog anyway. i can always delete it and apologise.
But good on you Triple J and whoever it was that works there that put us up. Thanks for your support and for letting our memetic virus infect your listeners.
our own QUIET RIOT event has warranted a mention on news.com.au

On Thursday October 28 we invite you to join us at Rics Bar to protest against the debilitating noise restrictions imposed on Rics by the Liquor Licencing people in state government.
QUIET RIOT is a silent protest themed live gig hosted by Ponyloaf where you will need a radio and a set of headphones to hear the bands playing on stage.
The lineup includes:
Shazam/Simulcast DJs, Death:Wolf!, Statler&Waldorf and Ponyloaf
from 8:30pm
Bands will play through the mixing desk to an FM transmitter which will broadcast within the near vicinity (a 50m radius im told).
There will be a number of photographers around the event taking shots for various media so we need you all to sit in to maximise the visual impact. There will also be a survey you can sign to support Rics.
Here is an official media release for press usages
And I will soon announce the FM frequency that you need to tune in on.
In the meantime, Ponyloaf will play every Thursday night at Rics in October with various special guests.
This is exciting... we have somehow managed to fool Nicola from Iron On into playing drums with us! She rocks! We rock! We all rock together! Come and check out her metalface at our new shows in October.
